Caregivers’ Circle, with DOROT Social Worker
The Caregivers' Circle is an ongoing group facilitated by DOROT social worker Jane Blumenstein, LCSW, designed to provide a supportive community where caregivers can connect and find strength alongside others who understand the joys and complexities of caregiving. Together, we’ll explore topics such as managing stress and preventing burnout, navigating family dynamics, and prioritizing self-care. Let’s light up the night with a Glow in the Dark Chanukah Party! Experience the GLOW during a communal Chanukah candle lighting. Eat, sing and ‘glow in the dark’ activities! In this painting and collage workshop series, led by artist Amy Tenenouser, participants will be introduced to a range of artists and art historical periods while exploring painting and collage through memory, reflection, and Jewish spiritual ideas and culture. Join your AC friends of all ages in celebrating Chanukah with light, song, and joy on the last night of Chanukah! We will light candles together, sing, nosh, play games, and enjoy. In this class we will review Hebrew letters and decoding rules with experienced and skilled teacher Nadav Wiesel, for faster and smoother reading of prayerbook and biblical Hebrew. Using authentic biblical texts, we will learn fundamental Hebrew vocabulary and grammar to deepen your understanding of biblical Hebrew. Class is appropriate for people with basic Hebrew knowledge - we start with Aleph-bet. Interested in Modern Hebrew? We also offer a course where you can learn that.
